Kendrick Lamar is back in the studio working on new music, but he didn’t let the moment pass without clowning his producer.
The Compton rapper took to his burner Instagram account, @jojoruski, on Tuesday (June 27) to share videos of himself and producer Scott Bridgeway in what appears to be a tour bus recording studio.
Showing his comedic side, K. Dot mocked Bridgeway for wearing a bonnet after recently hopping out of bed.
“That n-gga jumped out the bunk with the Yvette! Yvette!” Kendrick said in the video, referencing Taraji P. Henson’s character in the 2001 movie Baby Boy. “That n-gga jumped out the bunk with the Baby Boy, the Yvette on.”
Kendrick also posted another video of Bridgeway cooking up a beat on his laptop, which appeared to contain Kendrick ad-libs, as well as a sweaty close-up selfie of him wearing a face peel.

Scott Bridgeway produced a number of tracks on Baby Keem‘s debut album The Melodic Blue, which was released in 2022, including his Kendrick Lamar collaboration “Range Brothers.”
He also produced “We Did It Kid” on Kanye West‘s Donda 2 album, as well as Offset‘s “54321” and pgLang artist Tanna Leone’s “One of One.”
Kendrick Lamar’s hidden Instagram account was discovered earlier this month after previously being kept private.
The account has since amassed over 600,000 followers, with the content including selfies and photos of inspirational figures such as 2Pac and Michael Jackson, along with a video of K. Dot feeding his baby daughter.
On the music side, Kendrick Lamar released his latest song “The Hillbillies” in collaboration with his cousin Keem in June.
The track’s accompanying music video, which boasts over seven million views on YouTube, finds the duo traveling the globe, flexing the fruits of their labor and posting up outside the Dodger Stadium in L.A. alongside Tyler, The Creator.
“The Hillbillies” includes an interpolation of Drake‘s “Sticky,” which some fans interpreted as Kendrick mocking his long-time rival.
The release came shortly after Kendrick Lamar teamed up with Beyoncé on a remix of “America Has a Problem,” which originally appeared on her Renaissance album in 2022.
Lizzo has made it clear that she never abandoned her album Love in Real Life.
The “Juice” artist recently responded to rumors that the project had been cancelled after fans expected it to arrive last year. Rather than putting out the album at the time, Lizzo instead released the mixtape My Face Hurts From Smiling in June.
During a new conversation with Billboard, the “Truth Hurts” singer explained that the album itself was never scrapped and is still the same body of work she plans to release on June 5 under its new title, B**ch.
“I think the biggest misconception about my album is that I shelved Love in Real Life when I didn't,” she said. “(B**ch) is technically the same album. I just changed the name. The music is the same.”
Lizzo shared that the main difference between the earlier version of the project and the upcoming release was taking away the original title track, which eventually led to the album being renamed.
“When you change the name of something, it changes its destiny,” the singer explained. “Like, when I went from Melissa to Lizzo, it changed my destiny.”
“When this album went from Love in Real Life to Bch, it changed the trajectory of its past,” she continued. “I do think that I feel like I can express myself the way that I want to express myself right now through Bch. I think Love in Real Life was really sombre and a little bit more introspective, and I think B**ch is a little bit more empowered and self actualised and bold.”
Before the newly titled album arrives, Lizzo has already released the singles B**ch and Don’t Make Me Love U.
The artist had previously spoken about stepping away from Love in Real Life during an earlier interview with Vulture, saying the project “just wasn't what I was feeling right now”.
She also mentioned that much of the album had originally been written back in 2022.
“By 2025, I've changed, the world has changed so much, and so much has happened,” she said. “I was like, ‘I need to do s**t differently, and I don't know what it is, but I'm going to just start following my instincts.’”
