American Express presents BST Hyde Park has revealed one of the strangest and most fun record attempts ever staged at the festival.
When Pitbull tops the bill on July 10, fans will come together for an official Guinness World Records title attempt to create the biggest group of people wearing bald caps.
The concept first took off thanks to BBC Radio 1 Breakfast presenter Greg James, who backed the idea live on air as soon as Pitbull’s Hyde Park date was announced. A longtime supporter of Mr. Worldwide, James’ excitement quickly caught Pitbull’s attention and the star was immediately on board.
Pitbull said: “Guinness Book of World Records, get ready for all the Bald-E’s that’ll be putting it down on July 10th at Hyde Park.
“Every time you put on that bald cap, you know you’re about to have the time of your lives. We appreciate the love, the commitment, and the support. More than anything, we just want to say thank you. Dale!”
The attempt builds on a fan led craze that has followed Pitbull around the world. During his recent sold out shows at London’s O2 Arena, thousands turned up in bald caps as a nod to his unmistakable style. The trend, now affectionately known as “The Bald-E’s,” quickly went viral and has continued across his I’M BACK tour stops throughout Europe and North America.
BST Hyde Park is now set to take the movement to an even bigger platform, with an official adjudicator present to verify the record. Anyone wanting to participate will need to follow clear guidelines. Bald caps must be properly secured with hair tucked away at the front and top, and everyone must stand together at the same time for a minimum of one full minute.
Darcey Jackson, Director of Talent at AEG Presents European Festivals, said: “We're so excited to host a Mr world wide record attempt at Pitbull's show in BST Hyde Park. We've broken a few world records in the past but this will truly be the time of our lives. Come one, come all, come bald.”
Will Munford, Adjudicator at Guinness World Records, added: “We look forward to adjudicating this record at BST Hyde Park with Pitbull. What better way to be part of something amazing than coming together with other fans to celebrate your favourite artist.”
For this one off concert, Pitbull will be joined by his Timber collaborator Kesha, and more performers are still to be confirmed. The 2026 BST series will also feature headline performances from Garth Brooks, Lewis Capaldi, Maroon 5, and Mumford and Sons.
The last remaining tickets for BST Hyde Park can be purchased now at bst-hydepark.com.
Pitbull is also set to headline the first ever American Express presents Roundhay Festival in Leeds on July 3, where he will once again share the stage with Kesha.
