Artist On The Rise: What role does your cultural background play in your music, and how do you incorporate it into your artistry?
Millennium Resorts:
We both grew up with music in our homes. Music at our churches. My parents were music majors and  I grew up with busts of Chopin and Mozart on two pianos in my living room. I think there’s a lot to be said about the lyrics in relation to culture but as I’ve mentioned before I won’t elaborate. That’s up to the listener.

Artist On The Rise: How do you stay connected to your fans, and what is your favorite way to interact with them?
Millennium Resorts:
We are just getting started so trying to build an IG following and I love to see our music getting added to our listeners personal playlists. Focusing on Spotify.

Artist On The Rise: Can you share your experience working with a music producer or band members, and how these collaborations have influenced your music?
Millennium Resorts:
We are self produced for now. And Millennium Resorts would not exist if it was just Jonathan or just me. Our collaboration is why I believe the music shines.

Artist On The Rise: How do you handle the pressures of maintaining a successful career in the music industry, and what self-care practices do you employ?
Millennium Resorts:
That’s easy. We recorded this album and are making music because we love it. Zero expectations when it comes to a career. Just hope we slowly build a loyal following regardless how large.

Artist On The Rise: In your opinion, what sets your music apart from others in the same genre, and how do you maintain this unique quality?
Millennium Resorts:
Based on feedback and reviews, we aren’t really a particular genre. Have elements of edm, dreampop, prog, shoegaze, and new wave to name a handful, but I think what sets us apart is we are our own thing. We developed our sound because we were inspired to try to do something a little different and that will continue.

Artist On The Rise: Can you discuss the importance of live instrumentation in your music, and how it contributes to your overall sound?
Millennium Resorts:
Part of what makes our sound unique is live guitar. A lot of guitar and even solos. Long solos. You don’t hear a lot of guitar in edm music or at least it’s more a pastiche like in a lot of synthwave.

Artist On The Rise: How do you approach the business side of the music industry, and what strategies have you implemented to grow your career?
Millennium Resorts:
Very little $ investment. Trying to be smart about how we promote the music. We are in no hurry and hope our music is timeless so it won’t matter. Want to try to build a decent following before we start playing live shows. I have learned, at least for a new artist, an album isn’t really important these days which is kind of sad really because that’s what our first project “In the Key of David” is all about - an album to listen to front to back and have an experience.

Artist On The Rise: How do you handle creative blocks, and what techniques do you use to overcome them?
Millennium Resorts:
I think because we are new and we’ve been sitting on these ideas and creative pursuits for so many years, there aren’t blocks. But I’m sure they will come and my plan is to just listen to the Well Tempered Clavier or some of the other great composers for inspiration.

Artist On The Rise: Can you tell us about a time when you had to make a difficult decision in your music career, and how you navigated the situation?
Millennium Resorts:
Yes. To let go of the idea of the importance of an album in terms of art and music and just chop up my compositions into bite sized tunes people can digest on a playlist while on an elliptical.

Artist On The Rise: How do you balance your desire for artistic freedom with the need to create music that resonates with your audience?
Millennium Resorts:
The good thing is that we don’t have to worry about a balance. Not interested in catering to an audience. We make the music we want to and believe there will be fans if they get a chance to hear it. Case in point - we hope to be releasing our next single soon it’s over 12 minutes long

Sienna-Rose Jerak has a voice well beyond her years, and is a name in the pop music industry you’ll want to watch out for.

The 14-year-old singer from Australia released a pair of singles called “You Got Me” and “To Fly,” which showcases her vast range and ability to fill the air with her powerful vocals.

“You Got Me” is a love song about liking someone so much, and not being sure if they like you back. She said it can be super confusing and drive you crazy with the hot and cold, and Jerak brings this out in the music.

“You feel like you’re wrapped up in their games and you don’t know how to get out,” Jerak said. “And you keep going back to them. It’s basically about not having that experience or insight to work out if you like them as much as they like you.”

In the song, “You Got Me,” Jerak said she feels lucky because the way the vocals were recorded gives a “very live feel.” She works with a song writing and production team that includes Grammy winners Jordan Omley and Michael Man, who have been mentors to her in the process.

“They’ve really inspired me to be my best self,” Jerak said. “They are really kind, so it’s great to work in that kind of environment.”

Jerak is a fan of music that came out even before she was born, saying that she listens to the likes of Brandy, Carrie Underwood, Jessica Simpson and Monica. This inspiration bleeds into “You Got Me,” as well.

“I love old ‘90s music,” she said. “It’s got a lot of soul to it compared to music now. I take from a lot of life experiences, as well, when I sing. I try to make my music relatable.”

While “You Got Me” shows off her skills as an Pop/R&B singer, “To Fly” is much more of a ballad. Releasing both ends of the spectrum was intentional, as listeners will be able to get some variety of where her talents lie.

“In a pop song, they can’t really hear too much of the runs,” she said. “For a ballad you can be free and express yourself.”

Jerak has been involved in acting, singing and dancing since she was six-years-old. She attended performing arts school three times a week, where she would work on musical theater, jazz singing and more.

From 2022 to 2024 she trained at Margie Haber Studio in Los Angeles, and has since been cast as a lead in TVCs for “Earth Choice” and “IGA Ritchie’s.” She has also played the role of Sophie in the Paul Hogan film, “The Very Excellent Mr. Dundee.”

Now Jerak mainly plays pop and R&B music, saying that this is something she truly loves. She has always wanted to perform, and when she is on stage she feels so free.

“I really want to continue to grow as an artist, and grow with my music as I get older,” she said.

Jerak’s focus with music is in the way it connects with people. She said she is just an ordinary girl from Melbourne who is trying to do something big with her life. It is all about creating art, which she called a beautiful process.

“I just want to inspire people to be who they want to be without the pressure to cover up their true selves,” she said.

Jerak is a huge fan of LA, saying that someday she wants to live there full time because it is so supportive of the arts. She’ll be back in the city this summer to record more songs, saying that she really enjoys being in the studio putting together a track.

“Just singing all day and working on a song is such a beautiful vibe,” she said. “It’s what I love to do.”

Jerak will be out promoting these two singles, but she plans to record plenty more music in the future. Her goal is to get signed onto a record label, so she can show the world what she’s got on a grand scale.
