Harry Styles runs Berlin Marathon, clocks in under three hours

Well, now we know what Harry Styles has been doing besides dropping new music. The singer was spotted running the Berlin Marathon on Sunday.

Styles joined roughly 55,000 other runners in the event, reportedly signing up under the alias Sted Sarandos, according to the Associated Press. He wore a headband and sunglasses during the race. German newspaper Der Tagesspiegel first reported his participation.

He managed to cover the 26.2 miles in two hours, 59 minutes, and 13 seconds, earning the impressive sub-three-hour marathon finish. That worked out to about a 6:50 pace per mile, which was nearly a minute faster than the time he posted at the Tokyo Marathon in March. Online records show he finished that race in three hours and 24 minutes, placing 6,010th overall.

At the finish line, he paused to take a photo with Richard Whitehead, the two-time Paralympic gold medalist in the 200-meter dash.

In the lead-up to Sunday’s race, Styles had been seen running in both Berlin and London as part of his training.

Since wrapping up his Love on Tour run in July 2023, Styles has mostly kept things quiet, surfacing here and there to run marathons, attend the Pope’s swearing-in, wander the streets of New York City with Zoe Kravitz, and even attempt (unsuccessfully) to help a woman parallel park.

The one place fans are still hoping to spot him more often? Walking in and out of a recording studio. His last studio release, Harry’s House, came out in 2022, and it’s now been over two years since his final Love On Tour show.
