Conway The Machine has weighed in on Benny The Butcher and Freddie Gibbs’ beef, saying he wishes he could’ve squashed it before things got out of hand.

The Buffalo, New York rapper’s comments came during an interview with Akademiks’Off the Record podcast, where he was asked for his thoughts about the bitter feud between his lyrical contemporaries.

“It’s a fucked up situation for me, personally,” said Conway, who rose to prominence as part of Griselda Records alongside his cousin Benny and brother Westside Gunn, and has worked with Gangsta Gibbs on songs like “Babies & Fools” and “Seen Everything But Jesus.”

The Drumwork Music Group boss continued by declaring his love for both rappers and saying that he could’ve nipped their conflict in the bud had he been more involved as a peacemaker.

“That n-gga Gibbs my n-gga, man. I wish that shit never happened,” he said. “I would love to squash that. I wish I could have. If I was there, I don’t know if that would’ve happened. I’m talking about none of it, not just the shit that they talking about. I’m talking about the shit that [came] before.

“I just wish that shit never happened, man. Gibbs, I just know how he do, man. He’s a funny dude on that internet shit and on Twitter and stuff. He was wrong, I’ve spoke with people. But I don’t wanna say too much, man. Gibbs my n-gga regardless. I don’t give a fuck.”

He added: “And Benny my cousin, I’m riding with Benny regardless of whatever happens. But if it was up to me, none of that shit would’ve never happened. None of it.”

The pair’s feud ignited last year when Benny The Butcher said in an interview with Spotify that his collaborative relationship with Freddie Gibbs “came and went,” despite them having formed a potent partnership in the studio.

Benny’s comments sparked a heated back-and-forth on social media, during which Gibbs mocked the Griselda rapper for getting shot in Houston and Benny accused the Indiana native of “begging” to do a joint album with him.

The bad blood reached a boiling point that May when Benny’s entourage allegedly jumped Gibbs at a restaurant in Buffalo, New York.

The Black Soprano Family boss later claimed to have stolen his rival’s trademark “G” chain during the scuffle while also branding him “MC Dinosaur Bar-B-Que.”

“Benny gay ass need to stop flexing because he was there and didn’t throw a punch,” Gibbs fired back on Instagram. “Hoe ass n-ggas did all that brought a camera man and all for promo. Still can’t pack a room. Go ahead start rapping about me so I can start about these sealed plea agreements and shit.”

While things have since cooled down, Freddie Gibbs told XXL earlier this year that he “couldn’t care less” about “solv[ing] a beef with a rapper,” seemingly referring to Benny The Butcher.

“I’m so far removed from that bullshit in the streets,” he said. “I’m about to be an esteemed actor and a mogul. I couldn’t care less about any of that stupid shit. To me, those guys are like comedy. I make jokes of these guys like that. And that’s why guys like that want to fight because they a joke to me. I don’t even take guys like that serious.”

Benny, for his part, expressed confusion over their falling out during an appearance on Drink Champs last May.

“I guess that n-gga put a tweet up or some weird shit and I don’t know why he did that shit,” he admitted. When N.O.R.E. replied by saying he thought they were friends, Benny concurred: “That’s what I thought.”

Mariah The Scientist's attorney has demanded a jury trial.

Earlier this year, footage of Mariah The Scientist and a woman named Cleopatra Dues allegedly getting into a brawl at an Atlanta club left social media users shocked. Reportedly, Dues told police that Mariah allegedly approached her and ripped off her wig, then proceeded to drag her across the floor of Cavo Kitchen and Cocktail Lounge. She insists that she never interacted with Mariah until the alleged incident.

In May, Mariah was arrested and charged with simple battery. Now, according to court documents obtained by TMZ Hip Hop, she's pleaded not guilty. Moreover, her attorney Brian Steel has asked for a jury trial. She's yet to address the debacle but may do so soon in court.

Unfortunately for Mariah, her own legal woes aren't the only ones she's dealing with these days. Her boyfriend Young Thug is also currently behind bars on RICO charges. His high-profile trial was put on hold earlier this week. The defense filed a motion for Fulton County Superior Court Judge Ural Glanville to recuse himself due to an ex parte meeting with prosecutors and witness Kenneth Copeland. The trial won't continue until another judge reviews the case. Glanville also plans to release a transcript of his meeting with Copeland “so everyone will have a chance to look at it.”

It's unclear exactly how long this could take. The trial is already the longest in state history, however, and doesn't look like it'll be coming to a close anytime soon. What do you think of Mariah The Scientist pleading not guilty to battery? What about her attorney Brian Steel asking for a jury trial?
